The internet’s been hot with rumours of a Samsung purchase of WebOS – or perhaps them licencing the mobile OS from HP.
Any hope for Palm’s creation resting with Samsung is lost now, however, as Samsung’s CEO says that Samsung would “never” work toward a deal to use WebOS.
There’s clearly too much going on already for the software engineers over at Samsung, as they are developing for no less than three mobile platforms – with phones running on Google’s Android, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7, and of course their own creation – ‘Bada’, which CEO Gee Sung Choi says they are working on “harder than outside people think”.
