Keeping true to their “by the end of May” promise (but not so much the last one, or the one before that), Sony have flicked the big PSN switch back into the “On” position.
Not true for Japan though, where the Government will not allow Sony to restore the service until they have been satisfied that it is safe to do so.
Their reasons for this are fair enough: they want the anti-hacker system announced by Sony on May 1st to be fully live (which it currently is not), as well as further preventative measures against future credit/debit card theft.
