Android Market movies

Google announced today at their I/O event that they are adding Movies to the Android Market.

The selection is currently small, and it is crippled by the very same poor search functionality (come on Google, you’re Google!) that plagues the apps section. However, it’s an awesome step in the right direction.

Or it would be, except that it’s US only. Like all other services (Books, Voice, Music – I’m looking at you) they’ll say it’ll roll out to Europe in the future – in reality, I expect we have a very long wait at best.

Ah well, have fun yanks – the link’s after the break.

Prices start at $1.99, with most at $3.99. They can be played in-browser, or on your Android 2.2 (Froyo) or above smartphone/tablet.
