Mac Mini refresh
And I was not correct, although the upgrades to the Mac Mini are available, it is not the same spec as the MacBook Pro, but does include a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive for the basic model. Also it now sports a HDMI out and is living up to its name, coming in at 1.4″ tall. And it is a beautiful machine. It still fits in a disc drive as you’d expect and now has a huge 8GB of RAM potential. And to make it even closer to being a desktop version of the MacBook pro it is all enclosed in an amazing, aluminium uni-body case.

Although this does come at a cost: the basic model starts at £649 and the more expensive version running snow leopard server and coming in at £929. Frankly, I think I’d buy the basic model if I was looking for a new desktop and it is now a powerful and still cheap machine.

Apple have done well on this one.
